How does Sunflowerz know the weather along my route?
When you plan a trip, the app works out where you'll be each hour using live-traffic travel times, then fetches the forecast for each of those places at the time you'll actually be there. Forecasts come from Apple Weather; radar comes from Rainbow Weather.
Why does the radar animation stop 30 minutes in?
The free version shows live radar plus a 30-minute forecast. Sunflowerz Pro extends the forecast radar to 4 hours, so you can scrub the whole trip and watch storms move along your route.
The radar looks smoother the further ahead I scrub. Is that a bug?
No — near "now" you're seeing real radar returns, which are sharp. Further ahead you're seeing a forecast model's prediction, which naturally gets smoother as uncertainty grows. Sharp equals observed, soft equals predicted.
Do I have to give the app my location?
No. Location is only used if you tap "Current Location" as your starting point, and only at that moment. You can always type a starting place instead.
Where are my saved trips stored?
Only on your phone. Recent and favorite trips never leave your device, and you can delete them from the Trips list or with "Clear trip history" in Settings.
How accurate are the arrival times and forecasts?
Travel times use Apple's live-traffic routing at the moment you plan, and forecasts are the best available prediction — but both can change. Treat Sunflowerz as a planning aid, not a guarantee, and always follow official weather warnings.
How do I restore Sunflowerz Pro on a new phone?
Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple account, then go to Settings inside the app and tap "Restore Purchases."
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple: open the iPhone Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Sunflowerz Pro. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. In-app, Settings has a "Manage Subscription" shortcut that takes you to the same place.
Can I use Sunflowerz outside the United States?
Trip planning and forecasts work worldwide wherever Apple Maps and Apple Weather have coverage. Radar coverage depends on regional radar networks and is strongest in North America and Europe.
Can I change the little car on the map?
Yes — that's you. Pick your ride in Settings: sunflower, ladybug, bee, race car, UFO, even a kaiju. 🦖
